You Make It All Worthwhile

Graduating 8th Grader - Scholarship Program Graduate

Dear Ms. Heucke,
Before the boarding school applications, before the programs applications, before it all, you have been with me. Ever since fourth grade, you have been a source of knowledge, a source of support, a source of encouragement, and recently, a source of life-changing opportunities. You have always been one of the few people to whom I could freely talk to and on whom I could always rely. You introduced me to the programs and encouraged me to apply to them. You served not only as a teacher but as a personal advisor during the application process during which you edited my writings, helped me upload required documents and manage the entire application. After that during the boarding school applications you continued to diligently aid me by sending required transcripts, editing essays, among many other things. Even now, you continue to encourage me to apply to other schools as backup. All of these show how much you care and I am so thankful for your presence in my life.

I don’t even know where to begin. Ms. Heucke ever since you became a part of Discovery you were an individual that I looked up to. The way you carry yourself is incredible. This year was my last year of high school and when I needed help with my college essay you were there. You were there with open arms to help me with this process. I thank you so much for being there for me. I thank you for your kindness, care, patience and support. Ms. Heucke you are awesome, incredible, and a great teacher. I am so blessed that I have met you and continue to be in contact with you. When I go off to American University this August I will remember you because you are part of the reason why I made [it] here.

I am happy and excited to say that I got into SEEDS. (I know you already know). I just wanted to thank you so much for helping me. Without you I wouldn’t have gotten into the program. I would really like to express my thanks and gratitude for all the assistance and guidance you have given me as a Discovery Charter School student. You have always been there when I needed help with applications, testing, and many other things. Without the documents and recommendation you sent in and completed for me I will not be able to get accepted into the school I have always wanted to attend. I really want to express my gratitude through this note because you have taken so much time to assist me.
